Annual Gathering Honoring Imam Hussain in Rawalpindi

An annual religious gathering commemorating the remembrance and virtues of Hazrat Imam Hussain was held at the revered shrine Gulshan-e-Sultan-ul-Hind Ajmeri in Rawalpindi. Presided over by Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Khawaja Dewan Syed Aal-e-Habib Ali Khan, the Sajjada Nasheen (spiritual heir) of Ajmer Sharif, the event drew significant participation from devotees and religious scholars.
The sacred gathering commenced traditionally with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by collective recitation of Darood Sharif. The participants then engaged in the “Khatam-e-Khawajgan-e-Chisht,” reciting spiritual prayers attributed to the esteemed Chishti spiritual lineage.
Following these rituals, the main session began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Prominent Naat reciters paid heartfelt tributes to the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and expressed reverence for the martyrs of Karbala. Esteemed religious scholars and preachers delivered meaningful addresses highlighting the noble character and sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain as well as educating attendees on the profound lessons learned from the tragedy of Karbala.
At the close of this solemn event, Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Khawaja Dewan Syed Aal-e-Habib Ali Khan led special prayers seeking divine blessings for the unity, peace, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah and the beloved country of Pakistan. After the Zuhr prayers, a community meal (Langar-e-Hussaini) was distributed among attendees, exemplifying spiritual fellowship and community solidarity.
