Pakistan UAE Fiscal Collaboration and Governance Initiatives

Bilal Azhar Kayani, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance and Railways and Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, held productive discussions with Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, in Dubai, focusing on strengthening fiscal collaboration and deepening institutional ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, Minister Kayani and Minister Al Hussaini explored avenues for enhanced cooperation in fiscal management, public finance reforms, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. They emphasized the significance of the Pakistan-UAE Experience Exchange Programme, which aims at improving governance through mutual learning opportunities.

Minister Kayani reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to pursuing economic reforms, enhancing digital transformation, and ensuring good governance, aligned with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for national development.

This high-level engagement is a continuation of efforts stemming from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last month, which set foundations to modernize governance practices and strengthen institutional cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and senior officials from the Pakistani delegation, highlighting the bilateral resolve to further enhance the close partnership between the two countries.
