National Press Club Islamabad Holds Prayer Memorial for Members

The National Press Club Islamabad organized a special prayer ceremony to honor its deceased members and their relatives. Held at the NPC Mosque, the gathering included Quran recitation, prayers for forgiveness, and heartfelt tributes through beautifully recited Naat compositions.

Participants offered prayers and Quran recitation for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed souls. The deceased remembered during the solemn occasion included prominent senior member Mehboob Shah, former governing body member Alamzeb’s elder brother, the mother of Mehwish Nazir, the father of Salma Malik, father of Amir Nazir, mother of Asghar Hayat, elder brother of Nisar Hussain and Ilmdar Hussain, elder brother and brother-in-law (brother-in-law’s maternal uncle) of Mazhar Shehzad named Eid Muhammad, uncle of Ejaz Saghir, cousin sister of Shakeel Ahmed, and uncle of Shafqat Billi.

The gathering was attended by a large number of family members, friends, colleagues, and journalists, reflecting deep community bonds and respect for the deceased. Key figures participating in the event included NPC President Azhar Jatoi, Secretary Nayyer Ali, Joint Secretary Javed Bhagat, as well as governing body members Amir Rafiq Butt, Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, and Faiza Shah Kazmi.
