**Sindh Education Department Reviews Progress of EMO Project Under Public-Private Partnership**

The School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, recently held a comprehensive progress review meeting for its ongoing Education Management Organization (EMO) Project, focusing on RFP No. 7. The session, chaired by Mr. Ashiq Hussain Khoso, Senior Director of the PPP Node, brought together senior officials, EMO partners, and project staff to evaluate developments and reinforce the government’s commitment to quality education through public-private partnerships.

The meeting convened at the PPP Node office in Karachi, with the participation of key PPP Node officers, including Dr. Ashiq Hussain Memon (Director Administration), Mr. Rabbat Ali (Director Legal), Mr. Abdul Razzuaq (Director HR & Accounts), Mr. Waqar Latif Soomro (Program Manager), Mr. Sajid Hussain (Assistant Director), and Mr. Beburg (Program Coordinator).

Representatives from EMO partner organizations—Sindh Madressatul Islam Board (SMB), CFC Pakistan, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO), and Rural Development Foundation (RDF)—joined the review to deliver detailed, package-wise quarterly progress updates. Each staff member presented performance insights in accordance with their responsibilities set out in the project’s Concession Agreement.

Key discussion areas included monitoring of academic outcomes, teacher deployment, infrastructure improvements, compliance measures, teachers’ training, and community engagement initiatives. EMOs managing multiple project packages provided separate presentations for each, ensuring a thorough assessment of progress and challenges.

Commending the EMO teams for their efforts, Senior Director Ashiq Hussain Khoso underscored the necessity of transparency, accountability, and ongoing monitoring to achieve the project’s objectives. He reiterated the Sindh government’s commitment to leveraging the PPP framework to deliver sustainable improvements in school education across the province.
