**CDA Chairman Orders Acceleration and Quality Assurance of Islamabad Development Projects**

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s key development projects are set to receive a significant boost following a high-level meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters, where Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed officials to expedite ongoing construction and ensure adherence to strict quality standards across the city’s sectors.

The meeting, attended by senior CDA members and city administration officials—including Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon—undertook a comprehensive review of progress in priority development areas. These include Sectors C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, I-12, as well as Park Enclave, Shaheen Chowk, Faizabad Interchange, and Kashmir Chowk.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized that construction and development activities must not only proceed at an accelerated pace but also uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance. He instructed relevant CDA directorates, especially the Deputy Commissioner CDA, to establish onsite camp offices within the sectors under development. These offices are mandated to swiftly and transparently address residents’ concerns, ensuring that public grievances are resolved directly and in accordance with the law.

The Chairman further stressed the need for modern, visually appealing lighting and robust road infrastructure in all newly developed sectors. He issued orders for widening main roads, removing all illegal encroachments, and tackling unauthorized constructions to maintain urban order and facilitate smooth development workflows.

Specific directives were given to accelerate infrastructure enhancement and install improved lighting in Park Enclave. Chairman Randhawa also highlighted the importance of identifying and removing obstacles that may hinder progress on any CDA development project, making timely completion a clear top priority.

Acknowledging recent successes in the commercialization of CDA plots and shops, the Chairman commended the relevant departments for their efforts and instructed the Finance Wing to ensure adequate funding for all ongoing and upcoming development schemes.

In a separate directive, the Chairman called for the comprehensive upgradation of the Diplomatic Enclave, urging that the area be brought up to international standards in both its function and appearance.

These measures reflect a concerted push by Islamabad’s civic authorities to accelerate urban development while promoting transparency, legal compliance, and sustainability throughout the capital.
