US Consulate Supports Polio Eradication Efforts in Pakistan

A delegation from the U.S. Consulate, including the recently appointed Economic Chief, visited the Emergency Operations Center Sindh to learn about the current initiatives aimed at eliminating polio in Pakistan. During their visit, the delegation received detailed briefings on the country’s anti-polio efforts and the strategies being implemented to overcome persistent challenges in public health.
The visit demonstrates sustained U.S. support for Pakistan’s goal of eradicating polio, a vital issue for global health and disease prevention. U.S.-Pakistan cooperation continues to play an important role in strengthening healthcare infrastructures and supporting vaccination campaigns that protect children against the life-threatening virus.
Officials at the Emergency Operations Center welcomed the engagement and emphasized the significance of international partnerships in helping Pakistan achieve its public health objectives.
