Amal Career-Prep Fellowship Prepares NUST Students for Success

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), in partnership with Amal Academy, has successfully completed the Amal Career-Prep Fellowship Program, an initiative aimed at equipping students with essential professional skills for the modern job market. A total of 140 students participated in the program, which provided practical training to help bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace demands.
The fellowship sessions were conducted in-person at NUST’s campus, allowing participants to learn in a familiar setting while managing their academic responsibilities. Over a three-month period, students engaged in intensive workshops focused on key areas such as communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and career development.
As part of the program, fellows took part in interactive weekend sessions, practical projects, mock interviews, and resume-building workshops. These activities were designed to closely simulate real-world workplace challenges and foster professional growth. Peer collaboration and exposure to industry practices helped students understand the expectations of employers and develop essential workplace competencies.
In addition to technical skills, the fellowship placed a strong emphasis on personal development, encouraging values such as empathy, initiative, and accountability. The collaboration between NUST and Amal Academy, a social enterprise supported by Stanford University, reinforces NUST’s commitment to preparing its graduates not just for employment, but for meaningful and impactful careers.
