Inclusive Climate Leadership Drives Pakistan’s NDCs and Adaptation Plan

A recent panel discussion at Pre-LCOY KPK 2025 emphasized the essential role of youth, women, and faith leaders in advancing Pakistan’s climate goals. Participants highlighted the value of inclusive leadership in guiding the implementation of Pakistan’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the National Adaptation Plan (NAP).
Panelists discussed the importance of engaging communities in the climate policy process, ensuring intergenerational equity, and empowering underrepresented groups to have a meaningful voice. Faith leaders were recognized for their unique position to shape public attitudes and moral responsibility toward climate justice, helping foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
The session concluded that integrating the perspectives of young people, women, and faith communities into national climate strategies is crucial for achieving equitable, sustainable, and long-lasting progress in Pakistan’s fight against climate change.
