SCO and China Strengthen Literary Cooperation in Beijing

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Secretariat hosted a delegation from China’s Office for Publishing and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages in Beijing, highlighting ongoing collaboration in literature exchange and preparations for major upcoming events. The visit was led by Jiang Yongan, Head of the Center for Broadcasting for Europe and Asia, who emphasized the strong working relationship between the two organizations and expressed commitment to further strengthening cooperation.
During the meeting, Secretary-General Nurlan Ermekbayev outlined the SCO’s key priorities and the Management’s current agenda. He also provided updates on significant events planned by the Organization, including an upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State in Tianjin and preparations for the SCO’s 25th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
As a gesture of goodwill, the Chinese delegation presented a collection of books about China, published in various languages spoken by SCO member states, to the Secretariat’s library. Among these, a recently released fifth volume of the monograph “Xi Jinping on Public Governance” was highlighted as a particularly valuable addition.
