Ministry of IT & Telecom Strengthens Pakistan Cybersecurity

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with representatives of Security Code Company to discuss ways to strengthen Pakistan’s cybersecurity framework, enhance data protection, and support the Digital Pakistan initiative through secure software and hardware solutions.
The meeting brought together the federal minister and senior officials from Security Code Company, a firm that provides integrated information protection services across software and hardware platforms. Participants reviewed the company’s capabilities and its relevance to national needs for secure digital infrastructure.
Discussion centered on improving the country’s cybersecurity posture, protecting sensitive data, and promoting trusted technologies across government and critical sectors. Both sides examined technical and policy measures that could reduce vulnerabilities and support safer digital services for citizens and businesses.
The conversation also tied these priorities to the broader Digital Pakistan vision, emphasizing that robust cybersecurity and reliable data protection are essential for public confidence and successful digital transformation. Officials highlighted the importance of adopting secure-by-design technologies and building institutional capacity.
