Pakistan and Türkiye Strengthen Trade Collaboration Efforts

The Secretary of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Mr. Sheryar Taj, met with Mr. Murat Ozmen, the Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye, at the TDAP headquarters in Karachi to discuss strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
During their discussions, both officials agreed to explore new opportunities for bilateral trade cooperation and to work towards eliminating obstacles currently hindering the growth of trade between Pakistan and Türkiye. They expressed a commitment to intensify efforts in identifying emerging sectors for collaboration and to address any bottlenecks that may be slowing progress.
The two sides also underlined the importance of fostering direct business-to-business links and promoting participation in each other’s trade exhibitions and promotional activities. Key upcoming events highlighted included the Turkish Products Fair in Lahore and the TDAP’s flagship ‘FoodAg-2025’ exhibition in Karachi, where businesses from both countries will have opportunities to network and expand their commercial engagements.
