Protecting 13 Million Girls with HPV Vaccine

WHO Pakistan technical officers are working alongside frontline health workers as the national HPV campaign continues, focused on protecting 13 million girls from cervical cancer. The collaboration supports delivery, outreach and community engagement to ensure broad access to the HPV vaccine across Pakistan.

The HPV vaccine is widely recognised as safe and effective, and officials say timely immunization can offer a healthier future for millions of girls and their families. Continued support from WHO Pakistan aims to build confidence in the vaccine and strengthen the capacity of health teams administering it.

As the campaign progresses, health authorities and WHO technical staff remain on the ground to assist service delivery and to help reach the campaign target of 13 million girls, underscoring the nationwide commitment to reducing cervical cancer risk through vaccination.
