Boosting Youth Skills with Gaming and Animation Center

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza visited the NED University Karachi site of the Gaming and Animation Center of Excellence to review project design, facilities and sustainability measures. The minister examined the planned layout and engaged with university officials to ensure the center meets the needs of students and the local creative tech community.
The minister offered practical suggestions on design elements and on facility planning to promote long-term sustainability. Emphasis was placed on creating flexible studio space, modern production facilities and energy-efficient systems so the Gaming and Animation Center can operate to international standards.
The project is intended to open new opportunities for young Pakistanis by developing industry-ready skills in game development and animation. The minister said the center will strengthen Pakistan’s gaming and animation industry and help create career pathways for students across Karachi and beyond.
Government support for the project was reiterated to ensure timely completion and operational readiness. The minister underlined that the center will serve as a hub for digital creative skills, represent a milestone for youth innovation and align with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s digital vision for the country.
