Driving Pakistan Bahrain Ties Forward

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Al-Safriya Palace on 23 September 2025 in a cordial session aimed at driving Pakistan Bahrain ties forward through strengthened parliamentary and bilateral engagement.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq conveyed warm greetings and messages from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. His Majesty King Hamad acknowledged these sentiments, extended best wishes for Pakistan’s leadership and prayed for the progress and well‑being of the Pakistani people.

The two leaders held a substantive exchange on regional and international issues, emphasizing peace, stability and the need for cooperative solutions. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the peaceful resolution of the long‑standing disputes of Palestine and Kashmir, strongly condemning the ongoing atrocities and stressing that durable peace requires just and lasting settlements.

King Hamad congratulated Pakistan on the Pakistan‑Saudi Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement, describing it as a milestone for regional collective security. He praised Pakistan as a key Muslim country and a prominent military power within the Islamic world. In response, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to defending shared values and supporting the wider Muslim community.

Both sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation in parliamentary, economic and cultural spheres, with a particular focus on enhancing parliamentary exchanges, sharing legislative experience and building institutional linkages. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq commended the Bahrain Parliament for creating a dedicated Sustainable Development Goals section on its website and offered Pakistan’s full cooperation to support Bahrain’s SDG objectives.

His Majesty also expressed deep sorrow over the recent floods in Pakistan and conveyed Bahrain’s solidarity and readiness to assist with relief and rehabilitation efforts. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed gratitude for Bahrain’s compassion and support, describing the response as a reflection of the strong brotherly ties that underpin Pakistan Bahrain ties.

The parliamentary delegation accompanying Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq included Mr. Zulfiqar Bhind, Ms. Musarrat Rafique Mahesar, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Sardar Shamsher Ali Khan Mazari, Abdul Aleem Khan, Muhammad Usman Badini, Hassan Sabir, Khursheed Ahmed Junejo and Polan Baloch.
