Law Ministry Pledges Support to Rawalpindi Bar

A delegation from the Rawalpindi Bar Association met with Federal Law and Justice Minister Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar today to discuss pressing issues faced by lawyers and the association. The delegation briefed the minister on operational challenges and proposed improvements to courtroom and bar facilities. Barrister Aqeel, Minister of State for Law and Justice, was also present during the meeting.

Participants exchanged views on planned refurbishment and upgrade projects for the bar premises, with particular emphasis on repairing and renovating bar rooms for women lawyers and improving transport and other essential facilities. The delegation submitted specific proposals aimed at enhancing safety, accessibility and working conditions for members of the Rawalpindi Bar.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar assured the delegation that the Law Ministry will provide full support for bar infrastructure and the welfare of lawyers. The ministry committed to close coordination on implementation of the upgrade plans, and Barrister Aqeel reaffirmed the government’s readiness to assist in resolving the community’s concerns.
