Advancing Youth Empowerment with UNFPA pact

At the National Youth Summit 2025, UNFPA Pakistan partnered with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and Aiming Change for Tomorrow – ACT to bring young voices to the centre of national discussion. The summit was attended by youth from across Pakistan and was honoured by the presence of Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, who served as the chief guest.

The event offered a lively platform for attendees to share ideas, identify pressing challenges and pursue practical opportunities for advancement. Participants explored ways to translate discussion into action, emphasising local solutions and inclusive participation that can drive Youth Empowerment across provinces and communities.

A major outcome of the summit was the signing of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding between UNFPA Pakistan and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, a formal commitment to collaborate on youth development initiatives. The MoU commits both partners to align resources and programming to uplift young people and create pathways for education, engagement and economic opportunity.

The agreement is intended to sustain momentum generated at the National Youth Summit 2025 and to support youth-led initiatives that contribute to Pakistan’s development. Stakeholders at the event described the partnership as a practical step toward lasting Youth Empowerment and a framework for coordinated action over the next five years.
