Pakistan Egypt Advance Diplomatic Push for Gaza Ceasefire
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty to discuss bilateral ties and the grave situation in Gaza. The ministers exchanged views on key aspects of Pakistan-Egypt cooperation and regional developments.
They reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts, including consultations held among Arab and Islamic countries in New York, focused on securing an immediate and durable Gaza ceasefire, guaranteeing unhindered humanitarian assistance and advancing collective initiatives to achieve lasting peace in Gaza.
Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the coordinated diplomatic push and welcomed recent developments, including Hamas’ response to the proposed peace plan, which he said offers hope for an end to the bloodshed and faster delivery of relief to civilians.
Senator Dar extended an invitation to Dr Abdelatty to visit Pakistan in the near future, which the Egyptian minister accepted. Both sides agreed to remain engaged and aligned in their efforts to help secure a Gaza ceasefire and sustain humanitarian access.
The exchange underscores Pakistan’s active diplomatic engagement in regional forums and its commitment to collective action aimed at protecting civilians and restoring stability in Gaza. Islamabad 4 October 2025.
