Kazakh Minister Advances Pakistan Transport Ties
In Islamabad on October 23, 2025 the Kazakh delegation led by the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Nurlan Sauranbayev, participated in the Regional Transport Ministers’ Conference 2025 at the invitation of Pakistani counterparts. The visit focused on strengthening Kazakhstan Pakistan transport cooperation and exploring practical steps to improve connectivity.
During the visit H.E. Mr. Nurlan Sauranbayev held a series of meetings with the leadership of Pakistan’s transport authorities as well as with senior executives from the country’s largest transport and logistics companies. Discussions examined future prospects for cooperation and identified areas for joint projects and operational collaboration.
Negotiations resulted in agreements to implement joint projects and concrete practical measures aimed at enhancing cross-border logistics chains, improving multimodal links and increasing cargo handling efficiency. These initiatives are intended to bolster trade flows between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and strengthen regional transport links.
Both sides agreed to follow up with coordinated work between ministries and private-sector partners to turn commitments into actionable plans. Continued engagement is expected to accelerate the Kazakhstan Pakistan transport agenda and deepen bilateral ties in the transport and logistics sector.
