Food Distribution Reaches Muzaffargarh Families

HANDS Welfare Foundation, working under the Unilever Project, carried out a focused food distribution in District Muzaffargarh to assist deserving and flood-affected families. The programme distributed food bags aimed at providing immediate relief and stabilising household food security for communities facing hardship.

Local volunteers and foundation staff coordinated distribution points across affected neighbourhoods, prioritising households most in need. This food distribution sought to maintain dignity for recipients while addressing urgent nutritional requirements and helping families recover from flood impacts.

Through its partnership with Unilever, the foundation reinforced a commitment to community wellbeing and resilience. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to build a hunger-free and more resilient Pakistan by combining private-sector support with local relief action.

Organisers noted that sustained improvement in food security will require continued collaboration between corporate partners, NGOs and local communities, and pledged follow-up support where needed. The work in Muzaffargarh demonstrates how coordinated relief efforts can deliver practical benefits to vulnerable families.
