Lawyers Conduct Parliament Visit to Study Senate Processes
On 5 November 2025 a delegation of lawyers from Islamabad Bar Association and Khursheed Law Firm carried out a Parliament visit to Parliament House Islamabad where senior officials of the Senate Secretariat welcomed the group.
The Parliament visit began with a guided tour of the Senate Museum, where participants received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the lawmaking process and the role of the upper house in national affairs. The delegation also viewed a special documentary highlighting the Senate’s history and important parliamentary milestones.
In the Senate Hall officials provided detailed insight into the conduct of sessions, the stages of legislation and the working of parliamentary committees. During the Parliament visit Secretariat representatives emphasized the effective role of committee structures in shaping legislation and oversight.
The delegation then visited the Gali Dastur exhibition, which presents the formation, evolution and key phases of Pakistan’s constitutional history in a modern visual format. Members of the legal community praised the exhibition’s approach to preserving and presenting constitutional heritage.
At the conclusion of the Parliament visit the lawyers expressed gratitude for the Secretariat’s hospitality and informational briefings, describing the experience as highly educational, useful and purposeful for Islamabad’s legal community.
