Loban TVET Workshops Strengthening Pakistan China Partnerships

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister for Planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal visited the Luban TVET Exhibition Hall in Tianjin, emphasizing the crucial role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in promoting sustainable development, enhancing workforce capabilities, and strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China.
During their visit, the ministers met with seven Pakistani students who are receiving training under the Luban Initiative. This engagement was highlighted as a strong example of skill transfer and capacity building, reflecting the broader benefits of the partnership.
Since 2016, Tianjin’s Luban Workshops have expanded to more than 36 centers across 30 countries, setting international standards in technical education. Pakistan became part of this global movement in 2018 when its first Luban Workshop opened in Lahore, marking a significant step in adopting advanced vocational training methods and fostering bilateral cooperation with China.
