Advancing GBV Case Management in Sindh
The closing ceremony of a five-day Training of Trainers on interagency GBV case management guidelines took place on 14 November 2025 at Beach Luxury, Karachi, marking the successful conclusion of a focused capacity building effort. The programme was delivered with technical support from UNFPA Pakistan and SPO, in collaboration with the Sindh Women Development Department (WDD) and supported by the FCDO under the Aawaz-II programme.
Participants representing WDD Sindh, international and local NGOs, and community-based organisations from across Sindh completed the training and were awarded Tier 1 and Tier 2 certifications based on detailed assessments and feedback from the training team. The certifications recognise enhanced skills in GBV case management and interagency coordination that are critical for effective survivor-centred response.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Golden Mulilo, Head of the Sindh Office of UNFPA, stressed the importance of sustaining this process within provincial systems and highlighted the significance of self-care for practitioners engaged in GBV work. He congratulated the cohort on their achievement and underlined their role in strengthening referral pathways and protection services across Sindh.
Participants gave positive feedback, expressing motivation to advance GBV case management practices in their organisations and appreciation for the trainers’ guidance and ongoing cooperation. The training is expected to reinforce coordinated action and practical skills on the ground, improving support and outcomes for survivors across the province.
