Enhancing SMDP Portal Skills in Punjab

The Planning & Development Board Punjab held a refresher training session today at its Lahore offices to familiarise officers with the SMDP Portal and its role in provincial project delivery. The session underlined practical use of the portal to strengthen planning and administrative coordination across departments.

Trainers walked participants through key modules including ADP formulation and the complete PC-I to PC-IV workflow, as well as procedures for monitoring umbrella schemes and sub‑schemes. The updated SMDP Portal features were demonstrated to show how digital tools can streamline project design, approvals and ongoing evaluation.

Officers from a range of provincial departments participated in hands‑on briefings aimed at building departmental capacity and promoting seamless utilisation of the platform. Emphasis was placed on improved transparency and reliable performance tracking for development projects across Punjab.

Officials said wider adoption of the SMDP Portal will support more efficient planning, monitoring and evaluation of provincial development activity, helping departments meet delivery targets and report progress with greater clarity to stakeholders in Lahore and beyond.
