Kohatians Reunite to Celebrate Cadet College Kohat 60

Islamabad, 25 Nov 2025 — Ex-cadets of Cadet College Kohat convened to mark six decades of the institution’s legacy, bringing together alumni from the 1st Entry (1965) through the recently graduated 56th Entry.

The reunion drew senior military figures and former service chiefs including Major General (R) Haroon Pasha, Lt General (R) Sabahat Hussain, Commodore (R) Mahmood ur Rehman and Admiral (R) Asif Sandila, alongside senior government and defence officials who attended to salute the college’s contribution to national service.

The event featured the college anthem penned by poet Ahmed Faraz, a series of speeches reflecting on the cadet experience and leadership formation, and a solemn prayer for Kohatians martyred in the line of duty. Speakers highlighted Cadet College Kohat’s role in preparing leaders across the armed forces, civil service, business, media and social sectors.

Alumni were recognised and presented with mementos by the Kohatian Association, which is registered under Pakistan’s charity regulations and supports alumni networking, professional development and cadet scholarships through an endowment fund. The association has introduced modern tools such as e-voting and online donations to improve transparency and engagement among former cadets.

Veterans shared memories spanning decades, underscoring the college’s lasting impact on personal and public service. Major (R) Javed Rana, a first-entry alumnus and 1971 war veteran, said, “It isn’t an ordinary institution; it has shaped thousands of students who went on to serve the country.”

Once a Kohatian, Always a Kohatian captured the reunion’s spirit, reaffirming Cadet College Kohat’s enduring network and its continuing role in Pakistan’s leadership pipeline as alumni pledge support for future generations of cadets.
