Boosting Denmark exports from Pakistan
Pakistan’s export performance to Denmark has recorded a notable upswing, with official figures showing exports rising from USD 190 million in FY 2022–23 to USD 300 million in FY 2024–25. This momentum represents a robust 32% growth in the last fiscal year and positions Denmark among Pakistan’s top 25 export destinations.
The primary engine behind the surge has been the textile sector, where demand for quality and sustainable garments has strengthened commercial ties. Danish fashion giant Bestseller expanded its sourcing from Pakistan, citing superior product quality and adherence to environmental and labour standards as key factors that deepened procurement links with Pakistani suppliers.
Buyers in Denmark are increasingly seeking sustainable and compliant supply chains, creating opportunities for exporters who meet international benchmarks. The shift towards environmentally responsible products has allowed Pakistani manufacturers to showcase competitive advantages in both craftsmanship and compliance.
Officials credit proactive engagement by the Embassy of Pakistan in Copenhagen for facilitating business-to-business connections and enabling professional exchanges. The introduction of a business-friendly visa regime has further encouraged entrepreneurs and investors from both countries to explore joint ventures and sourcing relationships.
Denmark’s strategic position in Northern Europe and its access to wider Scandinavian markets make it an important gateway for Pakistani exporters aiming to expand their regional footprint. Stakeholders across trade bodies and the private sector view the recent gains as a platform for deeper economic cooperation and longer-term investment between the two countries.
