Amir Maqam Welcomes New PML-N Team in Kashmir

Amir Maqam, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan and president of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, addressed a party inclusion ceremony in Islamabad on January 8, welcoming new members from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable and praised the commitment of those who joined Pakistan Muslim League (N) in recent days.

Speaking at the event, Amir Maqam said his decision to join PML-N was shaped by the past service and leadership of Nawaz Sharif, and he reiterated confidence in the party’s direction under national leadership. He extended warm greetings and congratulations to the new entrants on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the entire party.

Amir Maqam highlighted that after the inclusion of Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq and his team, PML-N has become an unbeatable force in Samahni, strengthening the party’s presence in the region. He also expressed appreciation for the strong spirit shown by Kashmiris in the face of recent Indian attacks, saying their resolve and enthusiasm reflected deep-rooted determination and patriotism.

The minister welcomed guests described as coming from the land of martyrs and ghazis and noted that the growing unity between Pakistan and Kashmir reinforces the party’s mission to serve those regions. Amir Maqam called for continued solidarity and political engagement to address local concerns and advance the shared cause of Pakistan and Kashmir.
