Strengthening Balochistan Security and Development
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly, held a meeting with Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai at Parliament House in Islamabad on 27 October 2025 to discuss Balochistan security and provincial development priorities.
Both leaders reviewed the current law-and-order situation in the province and exchanged views on ongoing and planned development projects aimed at bringing Balochistan at par with other provinces. The speakers emphasised that progress on infrastructure and social services must go hand in hand with efforts to consolidate peace and stability.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the sacrifices of security forces and underlined the Pakistan Army’s key role in restoring stability in the region. He also warned that terrorists supported from across the border will not be allowed to achieve their aims, reiterating a firm stance on protecting national security.
Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai said lasting peace in Balochistan is essential for public welfare and economic stability, and welcomed continued federal support. Both speakers acknowledged the tireless efforts of the armed forces and other security agencies working to secure the province.
Parliamentary affairs and intergovernmental cooperation were also discussed during the meeting, with appreciation expressed for the federation’s role in supporting provincial development. Provincial Minister for Communications, Works and Housing Salim Ahmed Khosa attended the talks and joined both sides in reviewing project coordination and security-related measures.
