Pakistani Pilgrims Begin Arrival in Makkah
A steady flow of Pakistani pilgrims clad in white ihram has started reaching Makkah after departing Madinah, greeted with a warm and heartfelt reception upon arrival. The sight of devoted travellers in traditional attire arriving in the holy city created moving scenes that were welcomed by local teams and volunteers.
Arrivals were honoured with showers of flower petals and offered Zamzam water, dates and chilled beverages as part of courteous hospitality. Many pilgrims expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the attentive care shown by staff and volunteers at entry points and residential complexes.
Director General Hajj Abdulwahab Somro led an inspection team that included Dr Mirza Ali Mahsud, chief coordinator Makkah, Zulfiqar Khan, coordinator for accommodation, food and transport, Arif Aslam Rao, director Hajj Makkah, and Azizullah Khan, deputy director Hajj. The delegation visited several residential buildings, met with pilgrims and reviewed on-the-ground arrangements to ensure comfort and safety.
The Makkah main control office has finalised logistics for transport to the Haram, allocated experienced guides, and assigned service staff to residential blocks to provide quality food and support. Officials confirmed that all preparations for the pilgrims’ first Umrah have been completed and services are in place to facilitate their rituals.
Authorities said every available resource is being mobilised so Pakistani pilgrims can perform their religious duties in a calm and well-managed environment. Continuous assessments and on-site coordination will continue as more convoys arrive from Madinah throughout the coming days.
