At a ship delivery ceremony held at the İstanbul Naval Shipyard Command, the MILGEM corvette PNS Khaibar was officially handed over to Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in bilateral defence cooperation.
Addressing the ceremony, H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underscored the timeless nature of the two countries’ brotherhood: “The Türkiye–Pakistan friendship, rooted deep in our shared history and tested over centuries, will—Allah willing—endure until the end of time, flourish, and grow ever stronger.”
The arrival of PNS Khaibar represents a tangible enhancement for the Pakistan Navy and a clear sign of deepening strategic ties with Türkiye. The handover at İstanbul Tersanesi Komutanlığı highlights ongoing collaboration in naval shipbuilding and defence cooperation between the two nations.
