Rawalpindi Board Cracks Down on Exam Cheating
The Rawalpindi Board has finalised enhanced arrangements for the Intermediate First Annual Exams 2026, launching a zero tolerance campaign against organised cheating networks. Acting under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the directives of Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikander Hayat, the board has adopted a comprehensive strategy to protect fairness and transparency in the examination process.
Under special instructions from Commissioner Rawalpindi and Board Chairman Engineer Aamir Khattak, a command and control centre is providing continuous online monitoring of all exam centres while mobile inspectors, the chairman squad, district vigilance committees and district administration teams remain active in the field. These coordinated measures by the Rawalpindi Board aim to disrupt the activities of the booti mafia and other malpractice networks before and during the exams.
The Controller of Examinations conducted on-site visits to centres including Government Associate College for Women Taxila and Government College of Technology Taxila to review security arrangements, examine candidate facilities and ensure strict compliance with examination SOPs. Clear instructions have been issued to take immediate action on any violations and to maintain order and fairness at every test venue.
Board officials reiterated that the campaign against exam irregularities is ongoing and that stringent steps will continue to eliminate malpractice. The Rawalpindi Board emphasised its commitment to implementing the zero tolerance policy fully so that the examination system remains transparent, merit based and trustworthy for students across the region.
