Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry, led a high-level delegation including Senior Vice President Muhammad Murad Arshad, Vice President Salman Sheikh, business leader Raiz Uddin Sheikh, and Khawar Spall, chairman of the Departmental Committee on Garrison HQ/Cantonment Board Affairs, in a meeting with Brigadier Waqar Khan and CEO Cantonment Board Naveed Nawaz Naul at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The session focused on improving coordination between the Garrison Headquarters Sialkot, the Cantonment Board Sialkot Cantt and the local business community. Participants discussed administrative and civic matters that affect commercial activity inside cantonment boundaries and explored practical steps to streamline facilitation for traders and industrialists.
SCCI officials stressed the importance of a cooperative approach to remove obstacles facing the business community, noting that stronger institutional collaboration would enhance the local investment climate and day-to-day operations for companies working in and around cantonment areas. The discussion examined specific channels for communication and faster resolution of civic issues that impede trade.
Brigadier Waqar Khan and CEO Naveed Nawaz Naul assured the SCCI delegation of their readiness to provide support and to maintain open lines of communication with business representatives. Both sides agreed to regular engagement to address concerns promptly and to monitor progress on agreed measures.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen professional ties and pursue joint initiatives that promote business facilitation and development in Sialkot, reinforcing the shared goal of improving Sialkot business coordination for the benefit of traders and the wider economy.
