Palestinian Delegation Joins Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2025 in Islamabad

A high-level Palestinian delegation, led by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Chief Islamic Justice of Palestine and Advisor to the President on Religious Affairs, has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2025. The visit highlights the close religious and cultural ties between Pakistan and Palestine, and underlines Pakistan’s continued support for the Palestinian cause.
The delegation includes several prominent figures: Ahmad Hussein, a Sharia Judge and Scholar from Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the Al-Aqsa Mosque; Ghassan Al-Rajabi, Sharia Judge and Scholar of the Ibrahimi Mosque; and Hamza Dana, Director General of the Office of the Chief Islamic Justice. They were warmly received at the airport by Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Dr. Syed Atta ur Rrhman, Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, and other senior government officials.
Their participation in the conference, hosted as state guests by the Government of Pakistan, underscores the fraternal and enduring relationship shared by the two nations. The International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference, now in its 50th year, brings together renowned scholars and religious leaders from across the Muslim world to discuss the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
This year’s conference aims to promote global peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony, with a special focus on “State Responsibilities in Educating and Training for the Positive Use of Social Media – In Light of the Teachings of the Holy Prophet.” The event serves as a platform for addressing contemporary challenges while drawing on Islamic principles for guidance.
