Protection Against Harassment Act Seminar Highlights

Punjab Masstransit Authority held an awareness seminar at its head office in Arfa Software Technology Park, Lahore, to educate staff on the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 and to reaffirm the Authority’s commitment to a harassment-free workplace. The event was held under the direction of Managing Director Talha Zubair and organized in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment.
The seminar was presented by Muhammad Shazib Iqbal, corporate lawyer and law officer at the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment, who addressed participants and explained the legal protections available under the Act. The session aimed to raise awareness among employees about their rights and the obligations of employers under the law.
Organizers emphasized the need for a safe, dignified, and inclusive workplace environment, and highlighted the importance of preventative measures and staff awareness in maintaining such an environment. The Authority used the event to reinforce its zero-tolerance policy against harassment and to encourage employees to report incidents and support compliant workplace behavior.
