Pakistan Saudi Pact Celebrated with Citywide Lights

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia marked a major diplomatic milestone with citywide illuminations across the Pakistani capital, transforming official buildings, major avenues and private institutions into a visual tribute to their longstanding ties. The lighting displays, organized and coordinated across Islamabad, celebrated a newly signed agreement and highlighted the countries’ shared values of unity and Islamic brotherhood.

The Capital Development Authority took the lead in preparing the capital, deploying teams to install lights and decorations along key thoroughfares including Jinnah Avenue, Constitution Avenue and Kashmir Highway. CDA officials said their staff worked at multiple sites to ensure the city’s principal arteries reflected the spirit of the partnership.

Several government ministries and institutions joined the initiative. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and other ministries illuminated their premises in green and Saudi-themed designs, while numerous private organizations also decorated their buildings to echo the official displays.

Authorities and organizers described the illuminations as more than decorative: they were intended as a public tribute to decades of strategic cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh. Officials emphasized the visual celebrations as an expression of progress, solidarity and Islamic brotherhood, framing the lights as a symbol of the countries’ enduring relationship.

Images of the illuminated buildings circulated widely on social and traditional media, drawing public attention to the scale of the preparations. Organizers said the campaign reflected the “timeless friendship” between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and underscored how the new agreement has strengthened ties between the two capitals.
