Driving SMART Advocacy for 2030 Commitments
A three-day workshop led by the UNFPA Regional Office in partnership with the Family Planning 2030 Regional Hub brought together passionate advocates to develop country-specific SMART objectives and advocacy strategies. Delegates worked intensively to ensure that commitments made for 2030 can be translated into measurable action at national level.
Sessions focused on turning broad goals into concrete plans that set clear targets, timelines and indicators so that progress can be tracked and scaled. By centring practical steps and accountability, participants aimed to strengthen the link between policy commitments and outcomes that improve reproductive health and opportunity.
For Pakistan and neighbouring countries in the region, the emphasis on adaptable, country-led strategies means tailored approaches that reflect local needs while aligning with regional 2030 commitments. The joint initiative reinforced coordination across stakeholders and equipped advocates with tools to sustain momentum.
Participants left ready to lead implementation of SMART Advocacy in their home contexts, using focused objectives and advocacy tactics to help ensure healthier futures and brighter opportunities for all.
