Advancing Renewable Energy Through ICCI Partnership
On October 2, 2025, the Pakistan Alternative Energy Association (PAEA), together with the Renewable Energy Association of Pakistan (REAP), met with the leadership of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) in Islamabad to accelerate sustainable growth and investment in renewable energy.
The delegation included the ICCI President, the Senior Vice President and representatives from PAEA and REAP, and discussions centered on practical steps to scale up clean power deployment. A joint committee on renewable energy issues was proposed, with ICCI backing, to consolidate sector challenges and ensure timely escalation of recommendations to policymakers.
The ICCI President assured full support for the alternative energy sector in areas of policy advocacy, investor facilitation and outreach, signalling stronger public‑private coordination. Participants agreed to strengthen cooperation and establish effective communication channels to drive policy reforms and implement joint awareness programmes that highlight investor opportunities.
PAEA and REAP emphasised that coordinated action with ICCI will help create a more business‑friendly regulatory environment and speed the adoption of renewable energy across commercial and industrial segments, contributing to Pakistan’s sustainable development goals.
