Boosting Sweden Pakistan Trade Relations

The Steering Group of the Swedish Business Council in Pakistan convened in Lahore last week for its quarterly meeting to identify practical steps for enhancing Sweden Pakistan trade and commercial cooperation.

Participants discussed key opportunities and challenges facing Swedish companies operating in Pakistan, focusing on ways to simplify market access, encourage joint innovation and develop strategic partnerships that leverage Sweden’s strengths in technology and sustainability alongside Pakistan’s expanding market potential.

Delegates explored new avenues of collaboration across sectors where Swedish expertise can complement local capabilities, emphasising actionable measures to increase bilateral trade flows and create a more predictable environment for investors and exporters.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for informal networking and recognition, as members celebrated the birthday of the Council’s Chairman and long-serving Honorary Consul in Lahore, Mr. Syed Hyder Ali, marking his continued role in fostering Sweden Pakistan trade and relations.

Stakeholders reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to supporting Swedish companies in Pakistan and to pursuing initiatives that translate dialogue into measurable growth for both economies.
