Exam Cheating Caught During Rawalpindi Inter Exams

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan carried out inspections of several centres during the Intermediate Second Annual 2025 examinations and caught a candidate red-handed for exam cheating at Government Islamia High School No 4 on Liaquat Ali Road, Rawalpindi. The student, Waqar Hussain (Roll No 819304), was observed cheating during the mathematics paper.

On the controller’s direct orders an immediate case was registered and forwarded to the board’s discipline branch for further action. The incident was documented and the candidate has been placed under the board’s disciplinary process as per established rules to preserve the integrity of the examination system.

The inspection also included detailed checks of CCTV coverage and security arrangements at Government Graduate College Satellite Town Rawalpindi and Government Associate College for Women F Block. Officials reviewed surveillance footage and security protocols to ensure robust measures are in place to prevent exam cheating and other violations.

Tanveer Asghar Awan reiterated that the board is implementing the Punjab government’s zero tolerance policy. He said aggressive steps are being taken to disrupt cheating networks and that no one will be allowed to violate examination SOPs.

The board emphasized continued monitoring across centres and strict enforcement of rules to maintain transparent and fair examination conduct for all candidates in the Inter Exams 2025.
