Mr. and Mrs. Lt Gen Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo (R), the Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, hosted a reception in Islamabad to mark Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day. The event also commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian Armed Forces and the 75th year of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Indonesia.
Federal Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary attended as the chief guest, while Minister of State for Law Barrister Aqeel Malik was also present to pay tribute to the milestones celebrated during the gathering. Senior Pakistani ministers conveyed warm congratulations to the Government and people of Indonesia.
Speakers and attendees highlighted the close historical and cultural links between the two nations, describing Pakistan and Indonesia as brotherly countries whose partnership continues to deepen. The reception served as a reminder of shared values and ongoing cooperation across diplomatic and defence channels.
The occasion reinforced Pakistan Indonesia ties, with guests noting that bilateral relations are prospering day by day and that such events play an important role in sustaining mutual goodwill and collaboration.
