Strengthening Exam Security in Chakwal

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghra Awan of the Rawalpindi board carried out a detailed inspection of multiple examination centres and marking centres in Chakwal, examining exam security, seating plans, staff attendance and the delivery process for exam materials. The visit focused on ensuring arrangements are in place to protect the integrity of ongoing board examinations and to maintain orderly conduct at every centre.

Zero tolerance against organised cheating was reiterated as the guiding principle. The controller made clear that the cheating mafia will not be tolerated and that all actions will align with the Punjab government’s zero tolerance policy, with strict enforcement where irregularities are identified. This stance reinforces the board’s commitment to robust exam security across the district.

During the tour, attention was given to the provision of student facilities, the chain of custody for question papers, and the supervision performance of centre superintendents to keep the process transparent. At marking centres, Tanveer Asghra Awan reviewed paper checking standards, examiner attendance records and the monitoring systems used to safeguard the marking process, underscoring the importance of consistent procedures to uphold fairness.

The controller instructed all exam staff and markers to follow prescribed regulations and avoid any negligence or bias. He reaffirmed the board’s promise to implement exam security measures decisively and to ensure a transparent, well-organised and fearless examination environment. The board’s spokesperson Arsalan Ali Cheema conveyed these directives and the administration’s determination to act firmly against any misconduct.
