Battle-X Polo Day Three Delivers Thrilling Wins
The third day of the Battle-X Polo tournament sponsored by TCL unfolded at the Cavalry Polo Fields, Lahore Garrison Polo Club, drawing families and polo fans to a lively crowd. LGPC Secretary Major Babar Mehboob Awan (R) and other distinguished guests were on hand to witness two competitive matches that kept spectators engaged.
In the opening contest, Master Paints/Sheikhoo outclassed Peshawar Polo Club with an 8–4 scoreline. Raja Samiullah was the standout, netting five goals, while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed added three to complete a dominant performance. Lt. Col. Faizan Tasadduq Bhutta scored two for Peshawar and Sub Israr Wali contributed one as the side battled to close the gap.
The evening session produced a nail-biting finish as SQ Seagold/Newage Cables edged SEAFA Logistics International 6–5½. Saqib Khan Khakwani led SQ Seagold with three crucial goals, supported by single goals from Ali Quli Khan, Adnan Jalil Azam and Shiraz Qureshi. Agha Musa Ali Khan delivered four goals for SEAFA and the team benefited from a one and a half goal handicap, but fell just short in a closely fought finish.
These results will influence the standings as the Battle-X Polo Cup progresses, with teams aiming to build momentum in the coming days. The strong turnout at Lahore highlighted the enduring appeal of polo in Pakistan and the high standard of play on display at the Cavalry Polo Fields.
