A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the District Health Office and Al Kauthar International Hospital under the Public–Private Partnership framework to establish an EPI center at Kosar Hospital. The collaboration aims to strengthen routine immunization services and raise vaccination coverage for children in the Islamabad area.
The MoU signing meeting was chaired by Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, who underlined the shared commitment to safeguarding child health through enhanced access to life-saving vaccines. The new EPI center will focus on delivering routine childhood immunizations and improving outreach for underserved families.
Officials said the Public–Private Partnership will combine government oversight with hospital resources to ensure reliable vaccine delivery and strengthened cold chain management at Kosar Hospital. The partnership is expected to improve local vaccination rates and provide a sustainable platform for routine immunization services in the community.
