Serving Ramadan Iftar Across Pakistan

Zakat Foundation of America organised special Ramadan Iftar meals in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Kotli in Azad Kashmir, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Pattoki, Toba Tek Singh and Mansehra, respectfully serving patients’ attendants and underprivileged residents from nearby areas. The initiative aimed to ensure dignified iftar provision while reaching communities around major hospitals and neighbourhoods in need.
Organisers said the Ramadan Iftar programme was designed not only to feed those observing the fast but also to promote compassion and mutual cooperation across society. A large number of young volunteers from universities nationwide participated in the Iftar arrangements, taking active roles in preparing and distributing meals to beneficiaries.
One volunteer recalled that after taking part in the activity last year his outlook on life changed for the better. He said the happiness that comes from making life easier for others cannot be matched and that the experience deepened his sense of humility and gratitude.
Members of civil society welcomed the outreach, noting that such Ramadan Iftar efforts reinforce values of brotherhood and mutual respect. They urged organisers and communities to continue similar service beyond Ramadan so that the journey of dignity and assistance is sustained for future generations.
