Naveed Qamar Leads Condolences at Iran Embassy

Naveed Qamar, a member of the National Assembly and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to convey Pakistan’s condolences and solidarity. As convener of the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group he personally extended sympathy to the Iranian leadership and people.

At the embassy he offered condolences to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, other senior Iranian officials and the families of innocent women and children killed amid recent military aggression. A condolence book was opened at the mission and he recorded his reflections in memory of the victims.

Naveed Qamar said the services and steadfastness of the late supreme leader will be remembered and described the incident as a deep shock for Iran and the wider Muslim community. He emphasised that historical, cultural and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran endure and that moments of trial further strengthen bilateral solidarity.

He called for strict adherence to international law, respect for national sovereignty and the peaceful resolution of disputes, while offering prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and patience for grieving families. Naveed Qamar reaffirmed that Pakistan’s parliament will continue to support efforts for regional peace, stability and mutual respect between neighbouring states.
