Promoting Student Wellbeing Across Islamabad Schools

Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) has entered a memorandum of understanding with Omer-e-Rawan Organization to deliver coordinated programs that improve student wellbeing across private educational institutions in Islamabad. The MoU, effective March 26, 2026, will remain valid for three years with a provision for extension by mutual consent, establishing a shared framework for awareness and capacity-building activities throughout the territory.

Under this partnership, both organizations will conduct evidence-based awareness programs, workshops and interactive sessions focused on mental health awareness, stress management, emotional regulation and prevention of bullying. The programme will also prioritise physical health by offering guidance on nutrition, personal hygiene and promoting active lifestyles to help students build resilient habits.

The collaboration aims to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues by encouraging open dialogue and fostering supportive school environments where students feel safe to seek help. Targeted interventions will enhance students’ self-awareness and promote positive behavioural and lifestyle choices, reinforcing student wellbeing as an integral part of school life in Islamabad.

To ensure effective implementation, ICT-PEIRA and Omer-e-Rawan will designate focal persons to coordinate activities, maintain strict confidentiality and protect students’ data. Monitoring and feedback mechanisms will guide adjustments so that sessions remain responsive to school needs and grounded in best practice.

This initiative reflects ICT-PEIRA’s commitment to support the broader educational ecosystem by addressing critical facets of student development beyond academics, positioning student wellbeing at the centre of efforts to strengthen learning environments across the Islamabad Capital Territory.
