Chaklala Constable, Two Accomplices Arrested After Citizen’s Complaint

RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has taken notice of a citizen’s complaint, leading to the arrest of Constable Mohsin Zia and his two private accomplices after the allegations against them were proved during an inquiry.

According to details, the constable, who was posted at Chaklala Police Station, and his two associates were arrested from the CPO Office. A case of kidnapping and extortion has been registered against the accused at Chaklala Police Station.

The complainant alleged that the police official and his two companions abducted him after threatening to register a case against him, and later released him after receiving money.

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said corruption and misuse of authority would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said police officers and officials must remain careful in their conduct and in the performance of their duties.

The CPO further said there was zero tolerance for corruption or any act of injustice against a citizen. He added that a challan would be submitted to the court with solid evidence against the accused.
