FIA Cracks Down on Illegal Visa and Human Trafficking Ring

Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad has arrested four suspects, including two Afghan nationals and a government employee, involved in facilitating the issuance of illegal Pakistani e-visas. The arrests were part of an ongoing crackdown by FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad targeting criminal networks engaged in human trafficking and visa fraud.
According to FIA officials, the raids resulted in the arrest of Azizullah Afridi, Nadir Rahim, Muhammad Atif Ahmed, and Ahmed Zaib. Among those apprehended, Muhammad Atif Ahmed and Ahmed Zaib are Afghan nationals who were residing illegally in Pakistan, while Nadir Rahim is identified as an employee of a government institution.
Initial investigations revealed that the accused were working in collusion with various government and private sector individuals to unlawfully issue Pakistani e-visas. Following their arrest, the suspects were presented before the court, obtaining a two-day physical remand for further questioning and investigation.
Authorities indicated that the operation remains active, with FIA teams continuing targeted raids to apprehend additional accomplices associated with the illegal visa network.
