NBF Board Member Visits Islamabad Office to Discuss Literacy Initiatives

Member of the National Assembly Sajid Mehdi visited the Islamabad office of the National Book Foundation (NBF) to discuss ongoing initiatives and future strategies aimed at enhancing literacy and promoting the culture of reading across Pakistan.

During his visit, Mr. Mehdi, who also serves as a member of the NBF Board of Governors, held discussions with Dr. Kamran Jahangir, the Managing Director of the National Book Foundation. Both leaders exchanged views on a range of current projects undertaken by the NBF and explored areas for further collaboration and development.

The meeting emphasized a renewed commitment to boosting literacy rates and enriching Pakistan’s literary culture. The officials deliberated measures that would effectively support nationwide educational initiatives, encouraging greater public engagement with books and reading activities.

Mr. Mehdi expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the National Book Foundation and reaffirmed the government’s ongoing support for literacy programs.
