Passing Out Ceremony at Information Service Academy Islamabad

A passing out ceremony was held at the Information Service Academy (ISA), Islamabad, celebrating the successful completion of the 43rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) by Information Group officers. The event recognized the officers’ dedicated efforts in completing their mandatory training, essential for promotion to Grade-19 within the Civil Services of Pakistan. Ms. Imrana Wazir, Executive Director General of ISA, honored the occasion as chief guest.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Imrana Wazir emphasized the critical role of the Information Group in effectively bridging the gap between government and the public. She highlighted the importance of responsible media engagement and well-structured public communication. Praising the officers’ dedication, she urged them to uphold their professional excellence and contribute positively to public service.
The 43rd Mid-Career Management Course spanned a comprehensive duration of 14 weeks. It encompassed an initial foundational training program of 10 weeks at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), followed by specialized training for 4 weeks at ISA. This specialized stage covered key areas including public communication strategies, media management, digital transformation, and governance in today’s information-driven environment.
During the event, officers were recognized and presented with certificates and commemorative shields for successfully completing their rigorous training. Officers who graduated from the course included Muhammad Afzal Kolachi, Imdad Ali, Shazim Akhtar, Ms. Saba Yasir, Attequr-Rehman, Hussain Ahmed Wasir, and Hammad ur Rehman Qaisar.
The occasion was attended by distinguished senior officials of the ISA, including Director General Ms. Ambreen Gul Shahid, and Directors Ms. Mehreen Liaquat and Mr. Adnan Akram Bajwa.
In her concluding remarks, Ms. Wazir congratulated all participants, expressing confidence in their enhanced capabilities and renewed sense of commitment. She emphasized that these officers are now better equipped to effectively communicate Pakistan’s narrative both at home and abroad, strengthening the nation’s image through skilled, responsible, and innovative practices.
