ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, has announced the results of the annual examinations for classes nine and 10 for the year 2026.
According to the results issued by the Federal Board, the overall passing percentage in the ninth and 10th classes stood at 91.33 per cent.
In the matric science group, Afeera Ejaz of Army Public School Pasban, Rawalpindi, secured first position by obtaining 1,089 marks. Amna Nauman of Army Public School, Muzaffarabad, stood second with 1,088 marks, while Huzaifa Haider of Fazaia Inter College, Jinnah Camp, Rawalpindi, secured third position with 1,086 marks.
In the humanities group, Fatima Zahra of C.B. Public School and College, Wah Cantt, clinched first position with 1,037 marks. Muhammad Muaz of the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel, Islamabad, and Minal Zahid of DHA Senior School for Girls, Lahore Cantt, shared second position after securing 1,031 marks each. Aneesa Nisar of Pakistan Education Academy, UAE, obtained 1,023 marks and secured third position.
Addressing the ceremony, FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik briefed the chief guest, Federal Minister for Education Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, on the examination system and congratulated the position-holding students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said it was a success that talented Pakistani children were making their mark across the world. He congratulated the successful students and said the major requirement of modern education was the acquisition of skills.
The minister said Pakistan’s 180 million youth were enough to meet the country’s needs, adding that the next 10 to 15 years would be very important as the world was going to change in the coming days.
He also observed that female students in Pakistan were performing better academically than male students, adding that girls were also prominent among the position holders announced on the day. He said society must create space in its hearts and social structure for these students.
